I started a movement called with a customized at-home color kit or products called GBOX.
I knew I had to find a way to give a piece of normalcy and love to our guests while also creating a creative solution for my team to still create wealth. We were shut down and I saw a need for self-love more than ever. We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?Įxternally I would say COVID-19 was one of the biggest struggles we have faced as a business. My experiences became my foundation for The Glam House and continue to shape the legacy I hope to leave behind. I knew then that I wanted to change the industry and educate women on creating wealth and opportunity for anything they want to achieve. I watched as business owners had growth and wealth while other positions were treated as a fall back job. I also noticed how there was a lack of support in the beauty industry. During my time in beauty school I soon discovered I have my dad’s business brain and was constantly negotiating my class hours, supply cost, etc. He suggested that I go to beauty school as my way of paying to become a lawyer. Before speaking with him I wanted to go to law school, and he told me I would have to cover the costs and pay my way through. It wasn’t until later when I spoke with my dad that I actually pursued the industry. I actually started down the path of the beauty industry in high school when I worked in a shop and was constantly doing all my friend’s hair.
